Trinity Petroleum Services is a leading fuel distributor and retailer proudly supporting communities across North Queensland. We're passionate about creating a safe, compliant and high-performing workplace and are looking for an experienced Operational Compliance & Business Systems Lead to join our Operations Team.
This is a specialist role responsible for leading operational compliance, regulatory audits, business systems and continuous improvement initiatives that support the safe and efficient operation of our fuel distribution business.
Working closely with Operations, Fleet and EH&S, you'll ensure our depot remains compliant with NHVR requirements, Chain of Responsibility obligations, Dangerous Goods legislation and internal quality standards.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading operational compliance across the Company.
- Managing NHVR accreditation requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinating and leading internal and external audits, including NHVR audits.
- Managing operational business systems, compliance records and documentation.
- Overseeing driver compliance, competency and associated training records.
- Maintaining operational manuals, risk registers and quality management systems.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, compliance and operational performance.
- Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and regulatory reporting.
About you
You'll be an organised and proactive compliance professional who enjoys improving systems, solving problems and working collaboratively with operational teams.
You'll also bring:
- Experience in transport, logistics, petroleum or a similar operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of NHVR, Chain of Responsibility, Basic Fatigue Management and Dangerous Goods legislation.
- Experience leading compliance activities and regulatory audits.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced computer and business systems skills.
