We are currently looking for a motivated and reliable Kitchen Hand to join our Back of House team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced kitchen, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a professional and supportive team.
About the role
As a Kitchen Hand, you will play an important role in supporting our chefs and keeping the kitchen running efficiently throughout busy café, restaurant and event service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Washing dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation.
- Receiving, storing and rotating stock.
- Assisting with cleaning duties and waste management.
- Following food safety, WHS and hygiene procedures.
- Supporting the kitchen team during café, restaurant and event service.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, preferred but not essential.
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, high volume environment.
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual handling tasks and remain on your feet throughout your shift.
- A positive attitude and a team-first approach.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays and evening events.
- Full Australian working rights.
