About the Role
The core responsibility of this role is to walk alongside clients, help them build routines, learn skills, engage in the community, and feel more confident in their everyday life!
- Support a person with Level 3 autism
- Provide personal care and continence support
- Communicate effectively with a non-verbal person who has strong cognitive awareness
- Recognise and respond to non-verbal cues, gestures and changes in behaviour
- Assist clients to attend appointments, activities, or community events
- Provide friendly mentoring, encouragement, and emotional support
- Help clients develop independence and life skills
- Promote wellbeing, safety, and positive decision‑making
- Maintain simple notes about client progress (we’ll show you how)
About You
We are looking for a Support Worker to support people living with mental health challenges:
- A resilient, kind and grounded
- Knowledge of Hoist and Manual Handling
- Experience supporting people with autism or complex behaviours, or a willingness to learn
- Willingness to provide personal care and continence support
- A relevant qualification, or willing to obtain one - Cert 3 in Individual Support, Disability
- Experience in mental health, disability, community services, or similar (preferred but not essential)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Drivers licence and own car
- A practical, “hands‑on” approach to helping others
- NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, and
First Aid/CPR (or willingness to get them)Why Join Us?

Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
