The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Support Assistant to assist clients in maintaining their independence while living in their homes for as long as possible. This is a permanent part time position with a minimum of 10 hours per week, with potential for more hours depending on clients needs and your availability.
As a Support Assistant you will assist our clients by helping them with everyday activities such as (but not limited to):
- Support and assistance with personal care
- Household cleaning and laundry
- Assistance with shopping and welfare checks
- Social Support Group
What we are looking for in you
- Certificate III in Individual Support or qualifications and experience in a similar role
- Current Class ‘C’ drivers licence
- Current National Police check
- Current Provide First Aid and CPR Certificates
- A caring and empathetic nature
- You want to make a difference in your community
The following criteria would be highly desirable:
- Basic Administration Skills
- NDIS Worker Screening
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Current comprehensive car insurance
- Own roadworthy, well maintained and tidy vehicle, available for use in day to day duties if a Bland Community Care Service vehicle is unavailable
