Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Site Logistics Manager to lead our distribution and logistics operations at one of our key sites. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of product while delivering exceptional service to customers and stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Logistics & Distribution, you will lead warehouse, transport, and inventory activities while driving a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily site logistics, warehouse, and transport operations in an ambient and chilled environment.
- Deliver outstanding DIFOT (Delivered in Full on Time) performance.
- Manage site labour and 3PL relationships.
- Drive safety, compliance, quality, and food safety standards.
- Monitor and improve key operational KPIs including:
- Inventory Accuracy
- Labour Management
- Active Cost Control
- Develop and coach frontline supervisors and team members.
- Lead operational planning during peak seasonal demand.
- Collaborate closely with growers, operations, and customer sales teams.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
You are a hands-on logistics leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
You will bring:
- 5+ years' experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain management.
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management, inventory control and transport operations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Forklift license or the capacity to obtain.
- Sound knowledge of WHS, Chain of Responsibility, and compliance requirements.
- Fresh produce, FMCG, food manufacturing, or cold-chain experience is highly regarded.
