FULL TIME PASTRY CHEF

Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 plus Superannuation
Boss Babes Bake & Smash Burgers is a growing hospitality business offering artisan breads, pastries, desserts and café products. This position has become available due to continued business growth, increasing customer demand and expansion of the pastry production section.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake and decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, desserts and other baked products in accordance with recipes and production schedules.
- Produce laminated dough products including croissants, danishes and sweet pastries.
- Monitor baking processes and maintain consistency, quality and presentation standards.
- Develop and refine recipes and assist with introducing new products to meet customer demand.
- Ensure products meet established quality and food safety standards.
- Operate and maintain bakery and pastry equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure compliance with workplace health and safety and food hygiene requirements.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen and production staff to achieve daily production targets.
- Planning pastry production schedules.
- Designing and decorating specialty cakes and desserts.
- Supervising pastry preparation and presentation standards.
- Training junior kitchen staff where required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum three years' relevant experience as a Pastry Chef.
- Experience in producing croissants, Danishes, cakes, desserts and artisan pastries will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
