Due to fleet expansion, we are seeking an experienced, versatile Mobile Service Tyre Fitter to join our Ballina-based onsite division.
Position Summary
- Location: Ballina, NSW (covering Northern Rivers and surrounding regions)
- Work Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Roster: Monday to Friday + rotating on-call breakdown roster
- Remuneration: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour + Overtime + Superannuation + Fully Maintained Service Truck
Key Responsibilities
- Diverse Fleet Fitting: Remove, fit, balance, and rotate tyres across a diverse fleet including passenger cars, vans, commercial trucks, agricultural tractors, forklifts, and industrial OTR equipment.
- Onsite & Field Service: Operate a fully equipped mobile service truck to deliver breakdown assistance and scheduled fleet maintenance directly to client sites.
- Specialist Work: Safely handle multi-piece rims, solid forklift tyres, and large-bore agricultural/earthmover assemblies.
- Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose tyre wear issues, conduct complex puncture repairs, and perform fleet pressure checks.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to site-specific Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements and safe lifting practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Licensing: Valid, unrestricted Australian Class C (Car) Driver’s Licence (Light Rigid LR Licence is highly regarded).
- Experience: Proven, multi-category tyre fitting experience (competency in truck, tractor, and industrial/OTR tyres is essential).
- Technical Skills: Confident operating mobile tyre changers, pneumatic tools, and heavy-duty jacking equipment.
- Qualifications: Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting (Heavy) or equivalent field/trade experience.
- Certifications: Current Forklift Licence (LF) or Construction White Card is highly advantageous.
