What you'll be doing
As a Child and Family Speech Pathologist, you will provide assessment and intervention for children experiencing communication and feeding difficulties using a primary health care and family-centred approach. You will work closely with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based services that support children to achieve their developmental goals.
- Assess and manage speech, language, fluency, voice and feeding disorders in children
- Deliver services through a variety of models including individual therapy, group programs, parent education and consultation
- Develop collaborative care plans and treatment goals with families and caregivers
- Contribute to health promotion, community education, service improvement and quality initiatives
- Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and culturally responsive care

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric Speech Pathology services.
2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio economic or CALD backgrounds.
3. Understanding of Primary Health Care principles.
4. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of evidence based practice and commitment to professional development.
6. Highly developed and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of computer based applications and hold a Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
