The Project
ACCIONA is delivering a major marine and civil infrastructure project at Lumsden Point, Port Hedland, supporting the development of a new multi-user logistics and cargo handling facility.
This large-scale project will play a key role in enhancing regional supply chain capabilities and supporting future growth across resources, energy, and general freight sectors.
As part of this landmark development, ACCIONA is undertaking significant wharf and associated infrastructure works within a complex and dynamic construction environment.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of key work packages on the Lumsden Point Project.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery of project outcomes.
You will provide leadership across engineering and site teams, managing complex interfaces and driving project performance in line with ACCIONA’s standards and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all construction engineering activities across assigned project scopes

Develop and implement construction methodologies, delivery strategies, and project plans

Oversee project schedules, cost control, and cash flow to ensure successful delivery

Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and high performance

Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout design and construction phases

Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, quality, and sustainability requirements

Manage procurement, contracts, and subcontractor performance

Drive innovation, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives

Oversee stakeholder engagement, including clients, consultants, and delivery partners

Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and alignment with project objectives
Required Skills and Competencies
Required Skills & Experience

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
-
10+ years’ experience in major civil or infrastructure projects, with strong site-based experience

Proven track record in a Construction Manager / Project Manager capacity

Strong knowledge of marine, civil, or heavy infrastructure construction (highly regarded)

Demonstrated leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and contracts

Sound understanding of Australian safety standards and construction regulations
