Role Overview
The Event Videographer is responsible for capturing high-quality cinematic video content that showcases the energy, production, and overall experience of each event. Their footage is used to produce promotional content, recap videos, advertisements, and social media assets across the Artisia Events portfolio.
This role requires an eye for storytelling, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate key moments in a fast-paced event environment.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality 4K video throughout the event.
- Film all key moments from multiple perspectives.
- Work closely with the photographer and content creator to ensure complete event coverage.
- Follow the event shot list while also identifying unique moments as they happen.
- Capture footage suitable for both long-form and short-form content.
- Ensure footage is sharp, well exposed, and stabilised.
- Manage equipment, batteries, memory cards, and backups throughout the event.
Required Coverage
The videographer should capture:
- Venue exterior and arrival shots
- Venue setup before guests arrive
- Production, lighting, visuals, and décor
- Branding and signage
- DJ performances
- Live musicians and performers
- Crowd reactions and dancefloor energy
- VIP tables and bottle presentations
- Guest interactions and candid moments
- Sponsor activations (where applicable)
- Special effects (CO₂, confetti, cold sparks, etc.)
- Closing atmosphere and final crowd shots
Deliverables
Following the event, provide:
- All raw footage in organised folders.
- Footage captured in 4K where possible.
- Files organised by category (Venue, DJ, Crowd, VIP, Performers, Branding, Details, FX, Miscellaneous).
- Delivery of all raw footage within 24 hours of the event unless otherwise agreed.
If editing is included:
- 1 x Hero Recap Video (30–60 seconds)
- 3–5 x Short Vertical Reels (10–20 seconds each)
- Colour graded and exported in formats suitable for Instagram, TikTok and Meta advertising.
Equipment Requirements
The videographer is expected to supply professional equipment, including:
- Professional mirrorless or cinema camera
- Fast lenses suitable for low-light environments
- Gimbal or stabilisation system
- On-camera lighting (where appropriate)
- Sufficient batteries and memory cards
- Audio recording equipment when required
Requirements
- Previous experience filming live events or nightlife.
- Strong understanding of nightclub and low-light videography.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with the wider media team.
- Professional presentation and communication.
- Reliable transport to and from event locations.
Success Criteria
A successful Event Videographer consistently captures the atmosphere, emotion, and scale of the event while producing footage that can be repurposed across multiple marketing campaigns. They anticipate key moments, maintain a high production standard, and deliver organised, high-quality assets on time.
Pay: $300.00 – $1,000.00 per day
