Bloomin Boxes is looking for an experienced, creative florist to join our team on a casual part-time basis. If you love working with flowers, have a great eye for design, and take pride in every bouquet you create, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for preparing bouquets, arrangements, and floral orders to a high standard, ready for pickup, delivery, or in-store sale. This role suits someone who works efficiently under time pressure, especially during busy periods like Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, while keeping quality and presentation consistent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and design bouquets, arrangements, and floral boxes according to orders and brand style
- Select and condition flowers and foliage to ensure freshness and longevity
- Wrap, package, and label orders ready for delivery or collection
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked workspace
- Manage stock rotation and flag low or damaged stock
- Assist with receiving and processing fresh flower deliveries
- Provide input on seasonal ranges and design ideas where relevant
- Deliver excellent presentation and attention to detail on every order
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a florist essential
- Strong bouquet and arrangement design skills, with an eye for colour, texture, and balance
- Ability to work quickly and accurately, especially during peak trading periods
- Good understanding of flower care, conditioning, and handling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Flexible availability, including some weekends and public holidays (e.g. Valentine's Day, Mother's Day)
- A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a small, hands-on team
