We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join Kanda in the Blue Mountains. In this role, you will provide in-home and community-based support to a participant with complex physical support needs, working closely with a supportive family and a small dedicated team.
This is a weekday-based role (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–2:00pm) with the opportunity for additional hours.
You will play a key role in establishing a strong, consistent support structure from the outset, helping the participant maintain daily routines, independence, and community connection.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support in a home and community setting
- Assist with daily living activities and personal care support
- Support mobility, routines and participation in daily activities
- Work independently while following established support plans
- Communicate effectively with the participant, family and support team
- Maintain accurate documentation and observe changes in presentation
- Promote dignity, independence and safety at all times
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
- Experience supporting participants with complex physical support needs
- Confidence providing personal care and high-intensity support
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- A calm, reliable and person-centred approach
