The Opportunity:
Lynas Rare Earths is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support business decision-making through insightful financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, you will work closely with operational leaders across the business, providing financial guidance, identifying improvement opportunities, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This is a full-time opportunity based in Perth, working a 5/2 roster (Monday – Friday).
As a highly valued member of the Lynas Rare Earths team, you will:

Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis, and performance commentary.

Analyse financial results and investigate variances against budgets, forecasts, and targets.

Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

Develop financial models and cost-benefit analyses to support business cases and investment decisions.

Monitor operational costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend process improvements.

Partner with operational departments to provide commercial and financial support.

Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.

Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data and reporting.

Assist with internal and external audit requirements.

Prepare ad hoc financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant legislation.

Contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting processes, and controls.
What you will bring to the team:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.

CPA or CA qualification (completed or currently working towards).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.

Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports, and financial analysis.

Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial acumen.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial audiences.

High attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Highly regarded:

Experience within mining, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environments.

Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools.

Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business.

Advanced Excel certification or formal financial modelling training.
