This role owns that data. You'll be out in dealerships measuring and documenting vehicles, then bringing that information back into our product database so it can be turned into real products. It's a mix of hands-on field work, relationship building, and detail-focused data work.
If you know cars, notice the differences between variants that most people miss, and like getting things exactly right, this will suit you.
What you'll be doing
- Visiting dealerships to measure, photograph and document vehicles — interiors, cargo areas, mounting points, trim variations
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with dealer contacts so we get consistent access to new models
- Recording vehicle data accurately in our internal database — creating new records, updating existing ones, correcting errors
- Tracking new model releases, facelifts and variant changes across the Australian market, and flagging what we need to capture
- Working with our product and design team to turn measurements into new accessory and parts development
- Verifying fitment on sample products and reporting back on what needs to change
- Keeping our vehicle reference list current and identifying gaps in our catalogue coverage
What you'll need
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle makes, models and variants — you understand how cars are put together and what changes between trim levels and model years
- Comfortable working with data: reading, entering and updating records in a database or structured system, and spotting inconsistencies
- Accurate and methodical — measurement work leaves no room for "close enough"
- Confident dealing with people face to face; you'll be representing us in dealerships regularly
- Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel locally most weeks
- Able to work independently and manage your own schedule
Nice to have
- Experience in automotive parts or accessory development
- CAD skills (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD or similar)
- Experience with 3D scanning or digital measurement tools
- Background in automotive retail, dealership, workshop or aftermarket manufacturing
- Photography skills for product and vehicle documentation
What we offer
- A role with real ownership — the data you build directly shapes what we bring to market
- Growing Australian business with multiple brands and an established manufacturing supply chain
- Vehicle allowance or company vehicle for dealership visits
- Genuine opportunity to move into product development as you learn the range
