THE ROLE:
The Finance Branch is looking for a talented individual to fill a Finance Business Partner role at the EL1 level. You will act as a trusted advisor in providing support and guidance to Trade and Investment Group within Austrade and will support the Agency in achieving its financial goals and outcomes.
Your strengths will be your client focus and commitment to providing an effective, professional service to your Austrade colleagues built on a solid accounting knowledge base. You will use your ability to identify insights to influence in supporting financial decision making within the Austrade leadership. Additionally, you will have highly developed organisational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. Your capacity to respond positively to change will ensure you can operate in our fast-paced work environment.

Duties Include:
Develop trusted relationships with Executive members and senior leaders, particularly within the Trade and Investment Group to provide strategic advice and facilitate long-term financial thinking.

Support financial decision making within the Trade and Investment Group to achieve positive outcomes through activities such as spend and budget management.

Collaborate with the broader CFO team to generate insights into financial planning and analysis and implement budgeting and forecasting processes and procedures.

Mature the financial acumen of the business through coaching, support and targeted training.

Liaise with other organisational Business Partners to drive consolidated planning & reporting.

Develop and maintain a broad network to provide value across the Agency at the peer and senior levels, and positively influence external stakeholders.

Create and support an environment, which fosters collaboration and accountability to promote a trust-based, inclusive culture.
