RETAIL MANAGER FOR FRESH CITY AUBURN

Due to continued business growth and operational demand, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee daily store operations, manage staff, improve store performance, and support the ongoing success of the business
Main responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and oversee the daily operations of the retail store to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable business performance.
- Lead, supervise, and support staff through rostering, training, task allocation, performance monitoring, and day-to-day guidance.
- Manage the store’s product range and product mix, ensuring stock selection aligns with customer demand, seasonal trends, sales performance, and business profitability.
- Monitor stock levels, coordinate ordering, manage stock rotation, and minimise wastage, shrinkage, and out-of-stock issues.
- Analyse sales trends, customer purchasing behaviour, and product performance to support pricing, promotions, merchandising, and operational decisions.
- Oversee store presentation, merchandising displays, product layout, and promotional activities to maximise sales and improve the customer shopping experience.
- Monitor store expenses, sales targets, profit margins, and daily financial performance to support business growth and cost control.
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained and professionally resolve escalated customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal staff to ensure timely stock replenishment, product availability, and quality control across fresh produce and grocery items.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, food handling standards, hygiene procedures, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records relating to sales, stock, staff rosters, supplier orders, and operational reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve store efficiency, customer service standards, product presentation, and overall business performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a retail management role.
- Minimum Diploma level qualification in business, management, or related field
- Strong understanding of retail store operations, stock control, merchandising, and staff supervision.
- Experience in fresh produce, grocery, supermarket, or food retail environment will be highly regarded.
- Ability to analyse sales data and apply it to stock, pricing, product mix, and operational decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to maintain high store presentation standards.
- Knowledge of WHS, food safety, hygiene, and retail compliance requirements.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
