HelloDR Esk is the local medical centre at 98 Ipswich Street, Esk, right in the heart of the Somerset region. We're the trusted health hub for Esk and the surrounding rural communities, offering GP consultations, bulk billing (eligibility criteria may apply), DAME (Designated Aviation Medical Examiner) services, travel vaccinations, skin cancer checks and onsite audiology through our local hearing clinic.
We're a growing, community-focused, small-town clinic with genuine reach - the kind of place where staff know their patients by name. The HelloDR Esk operates during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed
The Role
Join our expanding allied health team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients of all ages. As our Speech Pathologist, you'll assess and treat a broad caseload, from children with speech and language delays to adults experiencing communication or swallowing difficulties following illness or injury.
Working closely with our GPs and allied health professionals, you'll deliver evidence-based, patient-centred care while contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach that supports the best possible health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and treat speech, language, voice and swallowing difficulties across a mixed caseload
- Develop and deliver individualised treatment plans, including for paediatric clients
- Liaise with GPs and allied health colleagues on shared patients and referrals
- Maintain clear clinical documentation and progress reporting for families and funders
About You
- Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Experience across paediatric and/or adult caseloads
- A warm, patient communication style that puts anxious clients (and parents) at ease
