About the Role
We are currently seeking to fill multiple casual Disability Support Worker positions and welcome applications from both new entrants to the industry and experienced support workers.
As a Disability Support Worker with Fraser Support Services, you will provide practical, emotional, and social support to participants in their homes and in the community. Supports may include daily routines, community access, skill development, and family-based support.
This role is well suited to people who are:
- Starting their career in disability or community services, or
- Looking to bring existing experience into a values-driven, supportive workplace.
You may work with children, young people, or adults and support families with daily routines, skill development, community access, and emotional regulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person-centred support aligned with individual goals
- Support participants with daily living tasks (e.g. routines, meal prep, light domestic tasks)
- Assist with community access, appointments, and social participation
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour using trauma-aware approaches
- Work collaboratively with families, support coordinators, and the Fraser Support Services team
- Maintain professional boundaries while building positive, trusting relationships
- Complete basic shift notes and communication as required
- Follow all workplace policies, safety procedures, and participant support plans
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, calm, and emotionally regulated
- Reliable and communicates clearly
- Comfortable working with children and families
- Willing to learn and grow in the disability and community services space
- Values dignity, respect, and real-world support over rigid systems
You do not need extensive experience the right attitude matters most.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable vehicle and current driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and follow guidance
- Availability for casual shifts (including school-based or after-school hours)
Desirable (but not essential)
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or similar
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children or young people
- Experience working in family homes
- Understanding of trauma-informed or strengths-based support

Pay: $32.88 – $54.63 per hour
