We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Technician / Team Leader to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who wants to lead by example, mentor technicians, and play a key role in delivering exceptional outcomes on a growing number of projects.
About the Role
You will combine advanced technical remediation skills with leadership responsibilities, ensuring every job meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising remediation teams on water damage structural drying and mould remediation projects (containment, negative pressure, HEPA air management, antimicrobial application, contents handling, and clearance).
- Mentoring and developing technicians, promoting best-practice techniques and a strong safety culture.
- Managing day-to-day job site operations, including equipment setup/monitoring, moisture mapping, drying progress, and coordination with our IEP for assessment-aligned remediation.
- Ensuring full compliance with AS-IICRC S500/S520 standards, AMG 2010, ASBB 2026 guidelines, and WHS requirements.
- Maintaining equipment to the highest professional standard and supporting efficient project delivery.
- Delivering professional customer communication and service on every project.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on experience in water damage restoration and/or mould remediation (insurance or private work).
- IICRC WRT and AMRT certification are a minimum requirement coupled with experience.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience — ability to lead teams, mentor others, and take ownership of job quality.
- Strong knowledge of drying principles, moisture monitoring, containment protocols, and proper remediation techniques.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in PPE, confined spaces, and varying site conditions.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (company vehicle provided for work use).
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to professional standards and client outcomes.
- Experience in Perth/WA building construction (double-brick, etc.) and working with strata/property managers is advantageous.
