We’re looking for an experienced female support worker (client preference) to support our client in their home.
The support requirements include:-utilising commodes, portable hoist, electric bed, currently trialling tilt in space recliner-PEG requiring flushes, nutrition orally-utilising NIV overnight
Information about participant:-male NDIS participant in 40's, lives with wife-significant impairment in lower and upper limbs, requires assistance with all ADL's and transfers, using mobile hoist, 2 person transfers-experiences breathlessness and fatigue-communication and speech minimally impaired-nil issues with cognition
Support RequirementsSupport workers will assist with:
- High Intensity Disability Supports
- All transfers and mobility assistance, including support during the trial of a mobile hoist under Occupational Therapist guidance
- Dysphagia management
- Enteral feeding via a nasogastric (NG) tube
- Regular oral suctioning
- Personal care and activities of daily living
- Maintaining hygiene, comfort, and dignity
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, mobility, or support needs
- Following individual support plans, clinical guidelines, and documentation requirements
- Working collaboratively with the participant's family
To Be Successful:
- Confident with high/complex care
- Reliable, honest, + initiative to help and care for people
- Must be COVID-19 Vaccinated - at least 2doses
- NDIS Workers Screening Check,
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Qualification or Previous Experience in Aged Care, Disability or Community Supports
- Car ( License and Car Insurance )

Pay: $34.00 – $47.00 per hour

- Reliability is essential in this role. Our participants rely on consistent, dependable support, so being punctual and committed to your scheduled shifts is a must.
