About the Role:
We're looking for a trade-qualified Supervisor (Carpentry, Joinery or Cabinet Making) to lead a team at our modular manufacturing facility in Riverview, Ipswich.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you'll provide hands-on leadership, overseeing daily factory operations and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll coordinate multiple trades, manage production schedules, and lead a team of up to 15 employees and labour hire workers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading day-to-day production activities to meet safety, quality and delivery targets
- Supervising and supporting a team of tradespeople and production staff
- Coordinating workflows across multiple trades to keep projects on track
- Monitoring productivity, workmanship and factory performance
- Supporting production planning and scheduling, including workflow management
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Maintaining production, quality and safety records
- Driving a strong safety culture and leading by example
- Coaching and developing team members
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
What You'll Bring
- Trade qualification in Carpentry, Cabinet Making or Joinery is essential
- Previous experience leading teams in manufacturing, construction, modular or building
- Strong practical leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others
- A genuine commitment to safety and quality
- Experience with production planning and scheduling, including Gantt charts is advantage
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Strong organisation and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
