What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 – Clinical Practice, you will provide expert clinical leadership, consultancy and education to support high-quality nursing care throughout Auburn Hospital. You will champion evidence-based practice, lead quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to the strategic development of nursing services while supporting staff to achieve the highest standards of patient care.
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical pathways, policies, procedures and best practice initiatives
- Drive research activities, apply evidence-based findings to practice and support innovation across nursing and aged care services
- Identify learning needs and deliver education, orientation, mentoring and professional development programs for nursing and multidisciplinary staff
- Provide leadership in accreditation, NSQHS Standards, Work Health & Safety audits and quality improvement activities
- Monitor, analyse and report on key performance indicators, clinical outcomes and service improvement opportunities to support organisational objectives

Essential Criteria:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum five ( years postgraduate clinical experience in general & aged care nursing
Selection Criteria:
1. Minimum five ( years postgraduate clinical experience in general & aged care nursing with a range of clinical experiences. Holding or working towards relevant postgraduate tertiary qualifications in a specialty area, education and/or research.
2. Demonstrated advanced communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and advanced information technology skills to provide consultancy services and deliver innovative nursing practice
3. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice critical review
5. Demonstrated personal attributes including resilience, accountability, integrity and ability to manage self
6. Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and deliver education for patients/clients and health care professionals
7. Demonstrated ability to function as a senior leader within a complex health organisation.
