Subcontract Steel Fabricator
We are a structural steel fabrication company based in Cranbourne and are looking for experienced Subcontract Steel Fabricators to join our growing team.
This role involves fabricating high-quality structural steel components in our workshop. Work is available Monday to Friday, with additional weekend work available when required.
Rate: $80 per hour (ABN required)
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate structural steel components according to fabrication drawings, including assembly and welding.
- Process structural steel components, including cutting, drilling, and preparation.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Operate workshop machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble steel components.
- Check drawings and specifications before commencing fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural steel fabrication and plate work.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Experience with structural steel fabrication and welding.
- Previous installation experience is an advantage but not essential.
- ABN required.
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport.
- Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
