As the Receptionist / Facilities Support Officer, you will be the first point of contact for customers, families, carers, visitors, suppliers and community stakeholders accessing vital allied health and wellbeing services for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other neurological conditions.
This full-time, on-site role combines reception, administration, customer service and facilities support, including maintenance coordination, fleet support, office supplies, mail and couriers, catering, parking, meeting rooms and Milton Hub presentation.
With professionalism, empathy and attention to detail, you will help create a safe, organised and welcoming environment where people feel acknowledged, respected and supported. Located on Park Road in Milton, this is a hands-on role with genuine variety and first-hand impact.
What you’ll bring to life each day:
- Shape the Hub experience from the first hello, offering a warm, professional and reassuring welcome to customers, families, carers, visitors, callers, suppliers and community stakeholders.
- Be the calm and capable voice of reception, managing enquiries, calls and messages with empathy, discretion and care, including sensitive or confidential conversations.
- Keep daily operations flowing with ease, supporting administration, mail, stationery and facilities ordering, catering coordination, business support and ad hoc leadership requests.
- Bring pride and polish to the Hub environment, ensuring reception, meeting rooms, shared spaces and kitchen/café areas feel safe, organised, tidy, clean, calm and ready for the day.
- Orchestrate meetings, events and Board activities, coordinating bookings, room preparation, equipment, catering, parking and competing priorities with confidence and sound judgement.
- Help everything work behind the scenes, supporting facilities requests, maintenance coordination, fleet activities, parking, building management, cleaners, trades, site inductions and other MS Queensland sites as needed.
Your Experience & Attributes:
- Proven experience in administration or customer service, supporting diverse customers, visitors and teams across in-person, phone and online channels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Professional judgement, discretion and confidence handling sensitive or confidential information with care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, respectful and confident approach.
- A customer-focused and empathetic mindset, with genuine care for people living with MS and other neurological conditions.
- A reliable and accountable work style, with a proven ability to take ownership and meet commitments
- A practical, hands-on and team-oriented approach, supported by strong Microsoft Office skills and alignment with MS Queensland’s values and Code of Conduct.
