BC Stone Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Architectural Draftsperson to join our growing team in Silverwater, NSW.
Requirements for this role:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in drafting, estimating, architecture, interior design, joinery, construction or related industries.
- Qualification in Architecture, Building Design, Drafting or related field.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Full-time availability.
- Australian working rights required.
- Driver's licence preferred.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and project documentation for residential and commercial stone projects. Working closely with clients, builders, estimators and production staff, the role supports projects from site measurement through to fabrication and installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review architectural and construction plans, joinery drawings and project specifications.
- Produce stone layouts and slab mapping drawings for fabrication purposes.
- Conduct site measurements, verify dimensions and assist with project documentation.
- Coordinate drawing approvals and revisions with clients.
- Liaise with clients, architects, builders, suppliers and internal departments.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling and coordination.
- Maintain project documentation and drawing records.
- Ensure drawings and documentation meet project requirements and company standards.
Skills and Experience
- Experience using AutoCAD.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
- Strong understanding of measurements, dimensions and material take-offs.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience with SketchUp, Revit or other drafting software will be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of stone, joinery, cabinetry or interior fit-out projects is advantageous.
