Investment Analyst (6-Month FTC) – Hobart | Parental Leave Cover
Join us as an Investment Analyst on a 6-month fixed-term contract in Hobart, providing parental leave cover within our Investment Services team. This is an opportunity to deepen your experience in a collaborative environment where your insights contribute to real investment decisions and outcomes.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Investment Management, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality analysis and reporting that underpins investment decision-making and governance. Working with guidance from experienced colleagues, you’ll contribute to both day-to-day activities and broader improvement initiatives across the team.
You’ll be involved in:

Supporting ALCO and other governance committees, including preparing reports, papers and recommendations

Assisting with portfolio and liquidity monitoring across income and growth funds

Contributing to monthly monitoring and analysis of RMBS securities

Undertaking economic and market research to support team discussions and strategy

Supporting biannual investor and benchmark reporting

Assisting with continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting

Providing back-up support to the Credit/Investment Analyst when required
What Success Looks Like
You bring strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, along with clear written and verbal communication. You have a genuine interest in economics and investment markets, with the curiosity to learn and contribute. You’re comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration, and you’re motivated to grow your understanding of investment, portfolio management and market dynamics.
