The Opportunity
Cadence Connect is partnering with a national healthcare group to appoint a Data Analyst into their Analytics and Insights team. The role has evolved from a more traditional reporting position into something genuinely technical, with greater emphasis on data manipulation, pipeline development and scripting alongside the front-end stakeholder work.
Reporting to the Analytics and Insights Manager and working closely with the Data Technical Lead, you'll sit at the intersection of business and data. You'll translate requirements from non-technical stakeholders into clean reporting outputs, build and maintain dashboards across Power BI and Holistics, and partner with IT, Data and senior leadership to ensure reporting integrity at scale.
What You Will Do
You will own a portfolio of reporting and analytics deliverables, balancing hands-on technical build with stakeholder engagement across the business.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI and Holistics
- Write complex DAX formulas and build robust data models for visualisation
- Transform and validate data across relational and cloud databases using SQL
- Apply scripting (Python or similar) for data analysis and automation tasks
- Translate business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into clear reporting logic and metric definitions
- Deliver external reporting to Network Partners and suppliers within agreed timelines
- Partner with the Data Technical Lead on data models, pipelines and BI infrastructure
- Provide technical support across visualisation tools and reporting standards
- Investigate data discrepancies, manage QA, and escalate integrity issues where required
Who You Are
You're a technical analyst who genuinely enjoys both sides of the role, the build and the conversation. You can hold a stakeholder meeting and walk away with the right brief, then deliver the reporting cleanly without being micro-managed. You're curious, you ask good questions, and you take ownership of the quality of what you produce.
- 3+ years hands-on experience with Power BI, including complex DAX
- Strong SQL skills across relational and cloud databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, SQL Server, PostgreSQL or similar)
- Scripting experience in Python or a comparable language for analysis or automation
- Exposure to Holistics highly regarded, or willingness to build into it quickly
- Tertiary qualification in analytics, computer science or related discipline
- Retail or FMCG industry experience preferred but not essential
- Strong communicator, able to translate technical work for non-technical audiences
- Self-directed, with the judgement to know when to dig in and when to escalate
