We make delicious plant based slices, cakes and protein balls that are shipped across Australia. We’re a fast paced, respectful team that works hard and keeps things clean.
THE ROLE:
You’ll be hands on in the production of our desserts, including:
- Producing our brownies, cakes, slices and other desserts from large batch recipe sheets
- Accurately weighing and measuring ingredients to ensure every batch is consistent
- Mixing, lifting and pouring large batches, including 10L buckets of mixture onto large trays and slabs
- Operating commercial equipment including mixers, large kettles, depositor machines and Robot Coupe food processors
- Slicing dessert slabs and rolling protein balls
- Assembling, decorating and finishing desserts to our high presentation standards. Our products are known for their consistent, polished finish, so attention to detail and consistency is essential.
- Packing, labelling and boxing finished products
- Setting up, cleaning and packing down equipment and production areas, including dishwasher and end of day cleaning
- Regular heavy lifting of 14kg to 25kg ingredient boxes, buckets and dessert slabs
DETAILS:
Start time is 7am, with a 15 minute morning break and a 30 minute lunch. We wrap up at approximately 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend work.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a cook, chef, baker or in a commercial food production environment.
- Confident with large batch recipes. You can weigh and measure accurately, follow recipe sheets carefully and understand that consistency matters.
- Comfortable with physical production work. This is a hands on role involving lifting, pouring, mixing and being on your feet throughout the day.
- Solid food hygiene knowledge. You know how to keep things spotless and food safe.
- Positive attitude. You enjoy being part of a team, take direction well and contribute to a good work environment.
- Proactive. If something needs doing, you get onto it without being asked, or speak up if you notice an issue.
- Communicates clearly. You ask questions when you’re unsure, let the team know if there’s a problem and keep everyone informed so production runs smoothly.
- Reliable. You turn up ready to work, follow through on your responsibilities and take pride in doing a good job.
HOURS & PAY:
Rate: $35 per hour
Shifts: 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday only
Available: 3 to 5 shifts per week.
