Opportunity:
As our Sales and Marketing Manager, you will lead and coordinate sales and marketing activities across the organisation to support the growth of our brand and our network of more than a dozen restaurants, with further expansion planned.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the company’s marketing function through compelling content, effective storytelling, and impactful marketing campaigns, while strengthening the organisation’s data capabilities.
You will oversee the development and execution of integrated campaigns, from social media initiatives to broader digital marketing programs, ensuring strategies are relevant, engaging, and aligned with our brand positioning. The role requires strong strategic insight, attention to detail, and the ability to drive the growth of our franchise business.
You will also play a key leadership role in bringing teams together and ensuring successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies across the organisation.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Direct the development and implementation of sales strategies and set sales targets in order to maximise our sales, customer loyalty, and brand engagement
- Direct, evaluate, and implement marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives across digital and traditional media to reinforce brand image and drive consumption. Establish and maintain distribution networks for products and services, and initiate market research studies to identify growth opportunities.
- Direct the development and implementation of sales and marketing policies and procedures in line with company objectives, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards.
- Lead the sales and marketing team in building client relationships, managing negotiations, and supporting operational teams to implement strategies in-store.
- Assist with ongoing assessment of the potential of new and existing store locations, including localised promotional strategies.
- Determine pricing strategies, promotional pricing, and discount structures to maximise performance and competitiveness.
- Lead the development, management and accountability of the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined and precise investment and a strong return on marketing spend.
- Build and steward a high-value network of media, creative and strategic partners, proactively identifying and capturing new opportunities in the market
- Conduct regular data analysis and evaluate campaign performance using marketing analytics, digital insights, and customer behaviour data to optimise strategy and demonstrate measurable impact.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Marketing and Sales, preferably in the Chinese food industry
- Bilingual in Chinese and English is essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety rules
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior leadership and operations team in a fast-paced food industry
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to details and time management capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in managing agencies and consultants, budgets and campaigns
- Willingness to conduct interstate and international travel as required
