Paulie's Pizza Pezzo is a New York-style slice shop on Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, from Paul Allam (Bourke Street Bakery, Hi Hi Burger, The Bread & butter Project). We make hot, crispy, foldable 18" pies on a 24-hour sourdough and we make it exceptionally well. We're open late, we're loud, and we're part of a growing night time economy on one of Sydney's most exciting strips.

The role
This is a full-time position. You'll know every team member by name and you'll care as much about the last slice served on a Saturday night as the first one at midday.
We're about to launch our beer and wine program, which adds a new dimension to the role and the venue. There's real opportunity here for the right person, including profit share and a stake in the brand as it grows.

What you'll be doing
- Running day-to-day operations - floor, kitchen flow, team, service
- Leading, rostering, training and developing a small, tight team
- Managing ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
- Overseeing payroll, P&L and basic admin
- Managing our POS system and Uber Eats - you're comfortable with tech and know how to solve problems and get things done
- Driving our beer and wine program once launched
- Supporting marketing - socials, community, events and local partnerships
- Maintaining the Paulie's standard: every slice hot, crispy, foldable & service is always friendly
Who you are
- Experienced in hospitality management - you've run a venue before and know what that means at 11pm on a Friday
- A natural leader who leads by example - you spend a lot of your time behind the counter and with customers, not in the office
- Energetic, organised and calm under pressure
- Genuinely passionate about food and people - hospitality is in your DNA
- Comfortable working nights and weekends - this is the beating heart of Sydney's night time economy and you love that
- Someone who loves food and knows how to build a community - with your team and with your customers

Pay: $58,032.64 – $87,604.65 per year
