About the Role
Reporting to the Dump Leach Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership across the Dump Leach and Tails area. You’ll play a key role in aligning team capability and resources with operational plans, while supporting compliance, performance reporting, and continuous improvement. You’ll also can step into a supervisor role when required (S26), making this an excellent development pathway.

Key Responsibilities
Champion a safety-first culture aligned to the Safety Management System
Monitor and report on operational performance
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on value and cost reduction
Oversee contractor performance within your scope
Work collaboratively with Mining, Metallurgy, Environment and other departments
Identify opportunities to improve production and recovery outcomes
Provide clear direction and support to operational teams
Mentor and develop team capability
Step up into Supervisor (S26) role when required
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience in Dump Leach and/or Tailings operations
Strong understanding of operational processes and continuous improvement
S26 qualification (mandatory)
Proven leadership capability with a focus on safety and team development
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office & SAP)
Willingness to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
C Class Manual Driver’s Licence (required)High Risk/Relevant tickets such as HR Licence, Loader, Forklift and Poly Welding (highly desirable)

Telfer is a long-life gold-copper mine in the Paterson Province of Western Australia’s East Pilbara region. The operation includes both open-pit and underground mining and Australia’s third-largest gold-copper processing facility. Since commencing production in 1975, Telfer has produced over 15 million ounces of gold. The site operates on a fly-in fly-out basis and offers a wide range of onsite recreational facilities to support workforce wellbeing.
