As we prepare to open our doors, we are building a passionate pre-opening team who will help shape the culture, standards and guest experience from the very beginning.
Reporting to the General Manager, our Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance of Crystalbrook Sam, ensuring the hotel opens with confidence, care and operational excellence.
As part of the pre-opening leadership team, you will play a key role in bringing the property to life, establishing maintenance systems, preventative programs, contractor relationships, compliance frameworks and operational readiness from the ground up.
The Role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the hotel, guest rooms, public areas, plant, equipment and back-of-house spaces are safe, functional, beautifully maintained and aligned to the standards expected of a premium hotel experience.
Working closely with our operational team across Housekeeping, Front Office, Food and Beverage and the wider hotel leadership team, you will build a responsive, solutions-focused maintenance function that supports seamless guest experiences and strong operational performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance leader to influence the opening of a new destination hotel and create a team environment built on care, pride, accountability and practical excellence.
What You’ll Do

Lead the pre-opening maintenance strategy, planning and operational readiness for Crystalbrook Sam.

Establish preventative maintenance programs, systems, procedures and reporting rhythms across the hotel.

Oversee the ongoing care and presentation of guest rooms, public areas, plant, equipment, back-of-house spaces and external areas.

Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants and internal stakeholders to support a safe and efficient hotel operation.

Partner closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and Operations to ensure room readiness, maintenance communication and guest experience delivery are seamless.

Manage maintenance requests, repairs, inspections and follow-up with urgency, care and attention to detail.

Support compliance across workplace health and safety, fire life safety, building services, emergency procedures and relevant statutory requirements.

Manage maintenance budgets, stock control, procurement and contractor costs in a commercially responsible way.

Lead, coach and support the maintenance team, creating a positive, connected and high-performing culture from day one.

Contribute as a key member of the hotel leadership team, supporting the successful launch and ongoing performance of Crystalbrook Sam.
About You
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager or senior maintenance leader with strong hotel, hospitality, property or facilities management experience.

You understand the pace, complexity and responsibility of maintaining a premium hotel environment and know how to lead with structure, calm confidence and practical solutions.

You are highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable balancing elevated guest experiences, preventative maintenance, safety, compliance, contractor management and operational performance.

You bring strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across departments.

You are hands-on when needed, strategic when required and always focused on ensuring the hotel is safe, efficient, well presented and ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
