We are looking for caring, reliable, and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide personalised support that promotes independence, community participation, and overall wellbeing. You will work closely with participants, their families, and our team to deliver high-quality supports tailored to individual goals and needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living assistance.
- Support participants with community access and social activities.
- Assist with domestic tasks, meal preparation, and household duties.
- Promote independence, dignity, and participant choice.
- Administer or assist with medication (where appropriately trained).
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reports.
- Follow participant support plans and organisational policies.
- Build positive, respectful, and professional relationships with participants and their families.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
About You
You are compassionate, dependable, and genuinely passionate about supporting people with disability. You have excellent communication skills and can adapt your support to meet individual participant needs.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
- National Police Clearance.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays if required.
Desirable
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, or a related qualification.
- Previous experience supporting people with disability.
- Experience supporting participants with high physical support, mental health, autism, intellectual disability, or psychosocial disability.
