We are currently seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our team in a permanent DIDO position supporting coal handling operations near Blackwater, Queensland.

The Opportunity
This role will see you maintaining a specialised fleet of heavy mobile equipment supporting coal stockpile and coal handling operations. With a strong focus on Caterpillar dozers, you'll play a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, availability and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Completing component replacements and major repair work
- Conducting machine inspections and condition monitoring
- Responding to breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with site maintenance and safety standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Previous experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment within mining, civil or earthmoving environments
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities
- Experience working on Caterpillar equipment
- Exposure to Caterpillar D10 and D11 dozers highly regarded
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and reliability
