Our team is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic female doctor to be part of our team on a casual or contractor basis in Melbourne, Victoria. If the suitable candidate is open to it, there is the opportunity to complete trips to rural and regional areas.
You can be scheduled for shifts based on your availability, which allows for great flexibility. This work is generally well suited to a doctor looking to pick-up 1 or 2 extra days of work a week, or to do between other work commitments. All sessions are typically on weekdays, during business hours.
What you will do:
The role involves conducting employee skin cancer screening assessments. The service is completed by attending a business location, where you will use equipment supplied by TELUS Health to complete skin check screenings. Each participant will have 12-15min with you for the screening, after which you will provide a GP referral as needed and educate the employee about sun safety.
Skills and Experience
You are required to the following experience:
- Have a minimum of 3 years experience in either general practice, dermatology or skin check screening
- Experience using a dermatoscope
- Display high quality organisational and time management skills
- Commit to delivering high quality assessments with good customer service
- Be able to liaise directly with a range of individuals, including clients, health professionals, program managers & equipment coordinators
In addition, you’ll have these essential criteria:
- Current AHPRA registration
- An ABN (if coming on as a contractor)
- Professional insurance
- Current police check or willingness to obtain one through TELUS Health
