ACE Group is a well-established Australian company supporting the mining and industrial sectors with high-quality manufacturing, refurbishment and maintenance solutions. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable General Hand to join our busy Molendinar workshop team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced workshop environment and has experience using grinders, hammers and general workshop tools. Experience with sandblasting and plate clean-ups will be highly regarded.
About the Role
Working alongside skilled tradespeople, you will assist with workshop operations, equipment preparation, material handling and general labouring duties to support production requirements. The role offers variety, stability and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate grinders, hammers and general workshop equipment safely
· Assist with plate clean-ups and preparation work
· Support fabrication and refurbishment activities
· Assist with sandblasting duties when required
· Load, unload and move materials throughout the workshop
· Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment
· Conduct basic equipment checks and follow site safety procedures
· Assist trades and workshop staff with day-to-day operational tasks
What You’ll Bring
· Previous experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment
· Experience using grinders and hand tools
· Forklift Licence – essential
· Strong safety awareness and reliable work ethic
· Ability to work well within a team
· Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
· Sandblasting experience highly regarded
· Experience with plate clean-ups advantageous
