About the Role
World Travel Guide is looking for a passionate, customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people create unforgettable travel experiences while delivering exceptional customer service.
As a Travel Consultant, you will work closely with clients to plan and book all aspects of their travel, from family holidays and luxury escapes to cruises, flights, travel insurance and visa assistance. You will build lasting relationships with customers by providing expert advice, personalised recommendations and ongoing support before, during and after their journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences and budget.
- Research, plan and book domestic and international holidays.
- Book flights, accommodation, cruises, tours, car hire and travel insurance.
- Prepare quotes, itineraries and travel documents.
- Provide outstanding customer service from initial enquiry through to travel completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Stay up to date with travel destinations, products, promotions and industry developments.
- Meet individual and team sales targets while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Assist with in-store promotions, local events and travel expos when required.
- Handle customer enquiries by phone, email and in person in a professional and friendly manner.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:

- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with customers.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple bookings and priorities.
- A strong problem solver who remains calm under pressure.
- Comfortable using computers and learning booking systems.
- Motivated to achieve sales targets while always putting the customer first.
- A team player with a positive attitude and professional presentation.
Experience
Preferred but not essential:
- Previous experience in retail travel or the tourism industry.
- Experience using travel reservation systems such as Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus or similar.
- Certificate III or IV in Travel and Tourism (or willingness to learn).
