Reports to: National Sales Manager – Commercial
Join Vertilux, a Hunter Douglas business, in a newly created role where you'll help shape the future of our commercial sales strategy through data, insights, and project delivery. Working closely with the National Sales Manager – Commercial, you'll transform complex data into meaningful business insights, support strategic initiatives, and develop tools that improve decision-making across our A&D (Architects & Designers) specification and estimating functions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analytics, commercial thinking, and project coordination to directly influence business growth and operational excellence.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, Excel reporting tools, and data visualisations that provide actionable business insights.
- Analyse commercial, sales, and specification data to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare clear and engaging reports and presentations for senior leaders using PowerPoint and other reporting tools.
- Support the National Sales Manager – Commercial in driving key strategic projects, ensuring milestones are achieved and stakeholders remain aligned.
- Monitor project progress, coordinate follow-up actions, and help embed structured project management practices.
- Provide analytics to support the growth of the A&D specification pipeline and improve commercial project tender opportunities.
- Assist with Commercial Estimating initiatives, including pricing analysis, discount optimisation, and Revenue Growth Management (RGM) projects.
- Partner with internal teams, including IT and Sales, to improve estimating tools, reporting capabilities, and business processes.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and commercial performance.
You are a commercially minded analyst who enjoys solving business problems through data. You're equally comfortable building dashboards, presenting insights to stakeholders, and coordinating projects to keep initiatives moving forward.
You'll also bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or commercial analytics.
- Advanced skills in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex data into practical business recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and high attention to detail.
Highly regarded:
- Experience within commercial sales, manufacturing, retail, distribution, or consumer goods.
- Exposure to estimating, pricing, revenue growth management, or commercial project analysis.
- Knowledge of the A&D (Architects & Designers) specification process or commercial construction industry.
