Mount Tuition is a tutoring business that provides one-on-one in person lessons to students across Sydney.
Tutoring is about support and mentorship - this is the philosophy of Mount Tuition. This means that lessons are a space for students to be themselves, ask those questions they may be afraid to ask in class, and learn effective study habits. Lessons are consciously tailored by the tutor to suit each individual student.
We are looking for tutors who can teach any of the following:
- Year 11-12 Maths (Advanced or Ext)
- Year 11-12 English (Advanced or Ext)
- Year 7-10 across all subjects
- K-6 Primary across all subjects
- Selective and OC Preparation
Tasks and responsibilities
- Tutoring students in grades K-12
- Preparing and organising lessons
- Travelling to homes or local libraries
Requirements
- 1 year experience private tutoring AND/OR
- Band 6/E4 in HSC English or Maths (either Standard, Advanced or Ext)
- Ability to travel to homes/libraries in the Inner West and adjacent areas (eg. Burwood, Concord, Leichhardt, Balmain, Drummoyne etc) - Please do not apply if you are unable to travel.
- A warm and enthusiastic personality! Our tutors are not just tutors, but also mentors to their students. Developing genuine relationships is a big thing for us.

Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
