Deliver the technology behind some of the world’s biggest live events.
From major sporting tournaments and world-class stadiums to entertainment precincts and iconic venues, this is your opportunity to lead the technology that powers unforgettable live experiences.
As a Technology Project Manager with PMY Group, you’ll oversee the delivery of complex technology solutions that connect fans, athletes, operators and venues—bringing together ICT, networking, digital systems, event technology and smart venue infrastructure. No two projects are the same, and you’ll be just as comfortable leading project meetings as you are walking a venue during bump-in or supporting a live event.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead the delivery of technology projects across stadiums, arenas, major events and public venues.
This is a hands-on project leadership role where you’ll manage projects from concept through to live operations. You’ll work alongside clients, engineers, contractors and event teams to deliver innovative technology that enhances the fan experience and keeps world-class venues operating at their best.
Whether it’s deploying venue Wi-Fi, digital signage, IPTV, broadcast systems, operational technology or temporary event infrastructure, you’ll play a key role in bringing ambitious projects to life.
If you enjoy variety, thrive in fast-paced environments and love seeing your work come to life on event day, we’d love to hear from you.
About You:
You’re an organised and collaborative project leader who enjoys solving complex problems and bringing people together to achieve exceptional outcomes.
You thrive in dynamic environments, confidently balancing planning, stakeholder management and on-site delivery while keeping projects moving safely, on time and on budget.
You’ll bring:
- Experience delivering ICT, venue technology or major event projects
- Strong stakeholder and contractor management skills
- Confidence working in fast-paced operational and live event environments
- Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology projects across venues and major events
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks and governance
- Coordinate multiple vendors, contractors and technical workstreams
- Lead on-site delivery during installations, testing, commissioning and live events
- Manage bump-in, event operations and bump-out activities where required
- Build trusted relationships with clients, venue operators and delivery partners
- Oversee testing, quality assurance and operational handovers
- Contribute to continuous improvement and future project delivery frameworks
Why You’ll Love This Role:
This isn’t your typical project management position.
You’ll work on technology that powers some of the most exciting live environments in Australia and around the world – from elite sporting venues and major entertainment events to smart public infrastructure.
One week you might be planning a large-scale technology deployment, the next you’ll be walking a stadium during commissioning or supporting the successful delivery of a world-class event.
