Supporting Abilities for Everyone (S.A.F.E.) is seeking passionate Motor Neurone Disease (MND) experienced Disability Support Workers to join the team, located through Melbourne.
- Male and female participants of all ages and levels of diagnosis.
- All Melbourne locations (North, East, South-East, West, etc).
- Days/times vary between participant.
- Motor Neurone Disease (MND) experience essential.
- Medication administration experience advantageous.
- PEG/PEJ feeding experience advantageous.
- BiPAP and NIV experience advantageous.
- Manual handling experience advantageous.
- Shadow shift(s) provided if possible.
We are looking for competent, enthusiastic and reliable Support Workers who possess the right empathy, interpersonal skills and ethics to prioritise the care of our participants.
Essential Selection Criteria (or willingness to obtain):
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee status/if working with participants <18 years of age).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License.
- A reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (to transport participants).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Approximately $123).
- Fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (minimum of two doses).
- The right to work in Australia.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $41.50 – $80.00 per hour
