Alpha Omega Management Consulting Pty Ltd is a customer focused registered NDIS and aged care service provider, currently based in Cabramatta providing care services to all Sydney metropolitan areas. We are looking for an Senior Accountant to join us on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the purpose of the role is to assist in the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate financial management and statutory reporting services whilst complying with organizational policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislative requirements.

Job responsibilities.
- Operations: Lead and supervise the accounting team, bank reconciliations, and day-to-day finance operations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and cost centre statements in compliance with AASB standards.
- Statutory Reporting & Audits: Coordinate annual audits, statutory reports (QFR & ACFR), acquittals, IAS/BAS, FBT, AR, and tax obligations.
- Budgeting & Costing: Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and unit costing; monitor departmental performance and deliver actionable insights.
- Sector Claims & Revenue: Oversee NDIS & HCP claims, invoicing, reconciliations, AP, and general journals, ensuring prompt issue resolution.
- Business Partnering & Training: Partner with business units, HR, and Admin; provide financial guidance and training to unit managers to build budget capability.
- Governance & Controls: Maintain effective internal controls, delegations, and approvals; report key finance KPIs to the Governance Team monthly.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best-practice procedures, policies, and system enhancements.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Accounting with an active CPA or CA designation.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in professional/corporate accounting.
- AASB Expertise: MUST HAVE demonstrated experience generating financial reports in full compliance with AASB requirements. Experience with NDIS/HCP (SAH) claiming, as well as QFR & ACFR reporting, is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, Australian taxation legislation, and GST.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage priorities under pressure.
- Clearances: Current valid Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
