School Canteen Food Assistants (Part-Time)
Area of Work: Kellyville Ridge, Mt Druitt & Penrith (but not limited)
Various positions available.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Canteen Manager with daily operations.
Assist Canteen Manager with Food Preparation.
Serve students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and efficient manner.
Pack and organise online lunch orders.
Restock food, drinks, and supplies throughout the day.
Maintain cleanliness of food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and serving areas.
Follow Food Safety Standards and NSW food handling requirements.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and stock rotation.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in food preparation essential.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic cash handling skills.
Essential Requirements
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
Current Food Handler Basics Certificate.
Available to work Fridays is non-negotiable
Hours of Work
Hours of employment at individual canteens will vary between 2 and 3 days per week, with shifts rostered Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm including every Friday during school terms.
Pay: $27.81 per hour
