Details: An exciting opportunity exists within Transport Canberra, to fill several vacancies at Belconnen Depot.
Working a rotating roster, Depot Transport Officers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of bus services within Transport Canberra. Referred to as The Starters, Depot Transport Officers are responsible for coordinating network resources including vehicle and driver allocations, preparation of daily / weekly rosters and information to the public and staff.
The Starters have the responsibility to make decisions, often independently, on how to manage and resolve a wide range of incidents, situations or events that affect Transport Canberra’s operational network each day.
We’re looking for people with sound knowledge of public transport networks, with the ability to prioritise work and make decisions in a time pressured environment. They must be a team player who is proactive in their approach to problem solving and contributes to collaboration to achieve results.

Commitment to work overtime on a regular basis and to a programmed weekend roster is essential.

Drivers licence HR class is essential.
