Job Description
Join the dynamic clinical team at John Flynn Private Hospital as a Part-Time Enrolled Nurse (IV Qualified), delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse range of medical and surgical patients.
In this rewarding role, you will utilise your clinical skills to support patients throughout their hospital journey, including pre- and post-operative care. Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, medical staff and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to safe, effective and compassionate patient care within a supportive clinical environment.
About You
You are a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You have previous experience working within a surgical ward and are confident providing care in a busy hospital environment.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong time management abilities and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You are able to maintain positive working relationships while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across a General Medical and Surgical environment.

Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of patients.

Support patients throughout their pre- and post-operative journey.

Maintain a high standard of nursing care for all patients.

Check, prepare and administer medications, including IV medications, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Monitor patients and recognise and escalate changes in their clinical condition.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, Registered Nurses, medical staff and the broader multidisciplinary team.

Promote infection prevention and control, patient safety and quality clinical outcomes.

Work within your scope of practice and seek guidance or escalate concerns when required.

Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative team environment.

Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
You Will Also Bring

Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.

Minimum two years' postgraduate nursing experience.

Medication endorsed and IV qualified.

Previous experience working within a surgical ward.

Strong clinical assessment, observation and patient care skills.

Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate patient care.
