What you'll be doing
As a Health Information and Records Service Officer, you will support the effective management, digitisation and maintenance of patient healthcare records to ensure information is available when and where it is needed for patient care. You will work across both electronic and paper-based record systems while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality and record integrity.
Scan, validate, quality check and upload clinical documents into the electronic medical record (eMR)
Retrieve, track, file, store and facilitate the compliant destruction of healthcare records
Maintain record tracking systems to ensure documents are accurately located and managed at all times
Liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams to locate, retrieve and process health records, including offsite storage requests
Deliver excellent customer service while meeting productivity targets, quality benchmarks and confidentiality requirements

Experience in an administrative position and/or knowledge and experience in health administrative functions.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise your workload so that you are able to meet deadlines.
Proven attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
Developed computer skills and/or experience with document imaging, patient administrations systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent customer service skills with sound oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work as a productive team member and contribute to a positive team culture.
Demonstrated understanding of privacy and confidentiality principles and how they are applied in the hospital setting.
