About the Role
As a Business Systems Officer, you'll play a key role in business improvement by leveraging tools like Power Platform, SharePoint and Microsoft Forms, to streamline workflows, and create efficiencies.
You'll also manage and maintain existing systems, such as Dynamics 365, to ensure they are reliable, secure and aligned with operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Manage QLeave's web and business systems and applications, including CRM and ERP systems, websites, Intranet, databases, and other purpose-built systems.
Undertake complex systems analysis, design, programming, and testing of web-based applications and databases.
Develop, document, implement procedures and tools to maintain the high quality of all systems and applications development, ensuring adherence to QLeave, whole-of-Government and industry standards.
Leverage Power Platform, along with Microsoft Forms and SharePoint lists, to design and implement business process automation, streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance business outcomes.
Maintain an extensive working knowledge of current and emerging digital technologies and trends to improve the QLeave's digital strategy.

What We're Looking For
QLeave appointments are directed towards selecting an eligible person best suited to the position. You will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously, the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities.
For this role, we will consider how well you:
Analyse, design, test, train, implement and support web-based applications adapting to customer needs and addressing issues or concerns proactively.
Develop simple project plans with measurable milestones, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate in an ITIL-aligned team, contributing to continuous improvement by acting on constructive feedback and seeking guidance when required.
Demonstrate proficiency in SQL environments, including writing queries, managing stored procedures, and supporting database administration.
Design and implement business process automation using Power Platform, Microsoft Forms, and SharePoint Lists to improve workflows and deliver effective, user-focused solutions.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this role. However, practical experience with Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or qualifications in PRINCE2 will be favourably regarded.
