Rooty Hill High School is a highly successful 7-12 government comprehensive school in western Sydney. There are 1100 students, 5% of whom are from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. The school FOEI is 121, reflecting its culturally and linguistically diverse community.

The Deputy Principal (ACIP) works with the senior executive to deliver the strategic, operational, wellbeing and curriculum priorities. In addition, the Deputy Principal has carriage of working with key school teams to deliver universal, targeted and intensive programs with students in two year groups and engaging with their families and the community as they progress through the school. This role also has specific responsibilities for working with the school's learning support team to deliver the school's inclusion and learning support initiatives.

This is an above centrally identified permanent position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of funding, the ongoing requirement of the position and the educational needs of the school.
