What you'll be doing
As an anaesthetic nurse at Northern Beaches Hospital, you can expect to work closely with anaesthetists to prepare patients for procedures, assist during induction and maintenance of anaesthesia, and monitor patient safety throughout surgery. The role involves managing specialised equipment, responding quickly to changes in patient condition, and supporting recovery in the post-anaesthesia care unit. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced perioperative environment, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome. ensuring high standards of clinical care and patient comfort.
You will support a culture of continuous learning, teamwork and innovation, and contributes to service excellence through participation in quality improvement initiatives, education, research and accreditation activities, while maintaining professional competency standards and compliance with NSW Health and NSLHD policies and procedures.
