About the role
As a Maintenance Planner, you will be the link between strategy and execution — turning maintenance priorities, technical requirements and operational needs into clear, achievable plans for field teams.

About you
- Experience in maintenance or operations planning, ideally within heavy industry, utilities, mining services or power generation.
- Strong working knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Confidence using CMMS/ERP systems, MS Project, Excel and other scheduling tools.
- Ability to forecast labour, materials, contractors and long-lead items to support effective execution.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with field teams, clients, engineers and contractors.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety-focused, with an understanding of WHS requirements, permit systems, isolations and safe work practices.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation, OEM requirements and maintenance strategies.
What you’ll be doing
- Plan and schedule maintenance, breakdown and preventive maintenance activities in line with operational priorities.
- Develop short-term and long-term maintenance plans aligned to asset strategies, reliability goals and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate labour, contractor, material and equipment requirements to support effective field execution.
- Update schedules in response to work progress, plant conditions, access constraints and changing operational needs.
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, engineering, clients and contractors to keep plans accurate and achievable.
- Build permit, isolation, access, procurement and system dependency requirements into maintenance plans.
- Monitor schedule progress and report on time, cost, risk and milestone impacts.
- Support outage and shutdown planning, including tender schedules, execution plans and risk mitigation.
